John McCain and His Record of Corruption and Deregulation

John McCain (part of the Keating Five), the self proclaimed Republican Maverick has a long history that many voters may have forgotten and younger voters may have not known. In light of our current economic melt down, we must consider our candidates’ records.
In light of John McCain and Sarah Palin’s recent attempts to dig up irrelevant smears on Barack Obama, they forgot that they have dire skeletons in their own closets that have a contextual and direct impact on what we are experiencing today.
Please, before you vote, do not ignore the real issues and what is really at stake here. This election is so important. Because of the disastrous policies of the current administration, thousands of people in the military have died in a war we should have never engaged (Iraq), our economy is is in crisis and our civil liberties and personal freedoms have been diluted.
John McCain is a reactionary politician who is out of touch with the real America and us real Americans. His pick for Vice President, Sarah Palin lacks the intelligence and experience to take over in the very likely event McCain does not complete his first term.
We cannot afford a Republican administration if it is John McCain and we must elect Barack Obama if we are to have even a slight chance of recovery.

How about what Democratic congressional leaders did to keep Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from being properly regulated.

I’d say it isn’t all Bush’s fault, wouldn’t you? I can’t find anything Barack Obama is going to do besides increase government control that has wrecked our economy and our healthcare system. If you think the economic storm hasn’t been brewing for years, you’re being short sighted. I don’t love Bush, but don’t beleive every peice of rhetoric you hear from the Obama media.
Respectfully,
John

Obamedia? LOL
Congress is as much to blame as anyone else, but we’re the fools who elected them.
Comment by Jared Tracy on 8 October 2008:
I agree with John (not McCain, but above) about this one, Dean. All of our problems are not from the Bush administration. We have check and balances in place. This is how our government was designed. Yet, when Congress fails to act responsibly, we are in grave trouble. Our current problems come from a failed congress more so than a failed administration. They’ve been giving Bush everything he wanted.
Comment by Harry Black on 14 October 2008:
A failed *Democratic* Congress, you mean?
Comment by Fred on 15 October 2008:
No, Harry. He means the failed Republican Congress, since they had the majority of the Senate for most of Bush’s time in office and the majority of the House for Bush’s entire time in office until 2007.
