The Fundamentals of the Economy are Strong. That’s what we’ve been hearing for months. We’ve been hearing it from Bush and his administration, and we recently heard about it from the McCain camp. In fact, just a couple of short weeks after McCain stated the fundamentals of our economy are strong, we are on the verge of trying to work out one of the largest bank bailouts in history.
Given the information that people like Bush, McCain, and Obama have their hands on, they should be able to spot a serious banking problem like this months in advance. After all, it is government that monitors the banking industry. It is the government that monitors all of wall street, every company.
How did the economy turn from fundamentally strong two weeks ago to being on the verge of massive bank collapse? It’s not like these banks suddenly realized they weren’t going to be able to pay their bills. They file huge amount of paper work every month and every quarter. And those filings are supposed to be monitored by our federal government. What the hell have they been going?
