Barack Obama humourously referring to McCain’s Bushian policies as just lipstick on a pig has gotten quite a bit of attention.  Well, taken out of context, the McCain campaign has used this to attack Obama for calling Sarah Palin a pig… when Obama was actually referring to McCain’s policies.

Even if Obama did infer that Palin was a pig, compare that to McCain’s lng history of offensive and sexist comments.  Cases in point:

1. Sen. John McCain (R-AZ). Speaking to the National League of Cities and Towns in Washington, DC, McCain said:”Did you hear the one about the woman who is attacked on the street by a gorilla, beaten senseless, raped repeatedly and left to die? When she finally regains consciousness and tries to speak, her doctor leans over to hear her sigh contently and to feebly ask, “Where is that marvelous ape?” 
    
2. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain’s hair and said, “You’re getting a little thin up there.” McCain’s face reddened, and he responded, “At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt.” 
3. “Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? 
   Because her father is Janet Reno.”
4.  Jake Tapper asked whether McCain had passed over Gibbons as a result of the governor’s relatively low approval ratings. ”And I stopped beating my wife just a couple of weeks ago,” McCain laughed.
    
5. When asked about women in the military McCain respondes “The purpose of the military is first to defend this nation’s vital security interests throughout the globe and only second to ensure equality.”

I urge you all to think hard about if McCain can be President.  In my opinion, he is a lose canon who will may cause us even more harm than Bush can even imagine. What do you think?
