Back in April, 29 2008 Albuquirque, NM Department of Environmental Health investigated claims that two food services workers at two separtate Albuquirque International House of Pancakes restraunts were working in the kitchen while infected with the very dangerous and highly contagious Hepatitis A

The investigation verified the claim, resulting in red-tagging the restraunts and temporaily shutting them down. The cause, “improper sanitizing and handwashing” according to local officals.  Jared– your concerns about the IHOP fecal smells may be a warning sign not to eat at IHOP under any circumstances.

IHOP seems to have a fairly robust history of treading the line on health department standards.  Do a search on it, you might be shocked, disgusted or even compelled to throw up your 1220 calorie “Colorado Omelette W/ 3 Buttermilk Pancakes.”

So, next time your hankering for a 865 calorie Rooty Tutty, Fresh & Fruity, you may want to choose over to the local diner or cafe instead.
