In the crazy world of politics, you sometimes have to wonder where your hard earned tax dollars are going. Here in California, you can rest assured that they are being well spent on protecting us from one of the greatest threats to State security. No, we aren’t talking about a massive earthquake or global warming. This is much more serious than that!
Straight out of the Why am I Paying Taxes File, the California State Senate is considering a bill to ban the sale of foil balloons. Citing power outages as a major reason to enforce the ban, the Senate seems to have largely overlooked companies like Enron and are focusing their attention on people that sell happiness and smiles in California. The State Senate also seems to have forgotten about its own law that forbids the sale of foil balloons filled with helium that don’t have a weight to keep them from flying away.
The California Senate released footage of one of the most catastrophic foil balloon incidents in power outage history! Watch the video and listen to Dean and I discuss this ridiculous bill on the Jared and Dean Words Cause Radio Show.
