I know, the pervs were probably expecting some pictures of scantily clad women. For that, you should go here. For the rest of you, Dean and I had four incredibly amazing women on the Dean and Jared Words Cause radio show yesterday. Here is a little bit more information about Laura, Lori, Marianne, and Rebekah:
Laura Landry, founder of Long Beach Network for Health - She lost vision in one of her eyes and had a terrible experience when she had to transfer to another medical facility. When her paperwork finally arrived, it was past the time frame that the doctors at that facility could help her. She has since regained her eye site and is developing collaboration technology so that no one ever has to experience what she went through.
Lori Hack, principal and CEO of Object Health - Object Health is a management consulting group that assists health care organizations and communities with leveraging health information to improve operational efficiencies and clinical health outcomes. Among her current projects, Ms. Hack is leading the privacy and security efforts for the Long Beach Health Network, which has recently received a Federal grant to develop a Health Information Exchange in Long Beach California. Additionally, Ms. Hack is currently serving as Program Manager for the state technology initiative in the area of Mental Health Information Technology through the California Mental Health Services Act.
She also serves as Program Liaison for the California Privacy and Security Advisory Board on behalf of the California Office of HIPAA Implementation under the direction of Secretary Belshe. Previously Ms. Hack served as Interim CEO for the California Regional Health Information Organization (CalRHIO) and Executive Director for Health Technology Center (HealthTech). She currently serves on the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) Privacy Expert Panel, directed by Secretary Leavitt of Health and Human Services. Ms. Hack earned her BA in psychology at the University of California at Los Angeles, and her MBA from the University of Southern California.
Marianne Korten, founder of Soul at Work in Amsterdam - Yes, we had a live interview with a womentrepreneur from the other side of the world! Marianne Korten is the inspiring director of Soul at Work in Amsterdam, Holland. She quit her comfortable job of 16 years in the meetings industry to start her own personal and professional growth company in 2005. Learning by doing, she embraces the adventure and ‘walks her talk’ while coaching her clients how to gain focus, confidence and quality of life.
Through coaching, public speaking and e-learning, Soul at Work supports international audiences to create a greater quality of life. Soul at Work’s mission is to uplift communication worldwide by giving people the tools and confidence to build 21st century lifestyles. Finding inspiration through work and creating a job around your own inspiration are the keys to a fulfilling life.
Rebekah White, founder of HealYourselfTalk.com - Rebekah White was an army wife for 8 years before her husband was medically discharged. She’s a mother of three boys ages 14, 12 and 6 and has now been married for 17 years. Rebekah started Heal Yourself Talk Radio out of a desire to reach out to others and teach them how to learn how to heal their mind, body and soul. After years of dealing with depression, Rebekah realized she wanted to help others learn how to deal with depression and other areas of life. Heal Yourself Talk Radio is a great starting point for information no matter what you are dealing with in your life.
Rebekah also owns several web properties that contribute to the knowledge base of health information available via the Internet. You can read more about Rebekah White on her profile on HealYourselfTalk.com.
Be sure to listen to the Dean and Jared Words Cause Radio Show for more about these extraordinary women!
