When is a Radio Show a Good Show?

A funny thing happens with Internet Radio, or any radio for that matter. When you are doing the show, you rarely know how well the show is going unless someone outside the show tells you.
This morning’s Dean and Jared radio show on BlogTalkRadio.com seems like it was going well at first. Shortly into the show I started having a number of problems with my sound. It was clearly something wrong with my equipment, as Dean was doing just fine with his sound.
After a while, I realized that it was a problem with my router. I’m not sure if it was a problem with using Vonage over my cable modem. I’m not sure if there was a problem with my router. From what I could tell, it was a problem that only happened when I was using my Vonage line. Disappointing news for my continued use of Vonage.
Meanwhile, the show continued on! Dean covered any spots where I had technical difficulties, and the BlogTalkRadio.com system presented absolutely no problems! Afterwards, I streamed the audio for the show through the website, and there was only one spot where it got a little weird with a very long pause towards the end of the show. Otherwise, we pulled off a great show. You can listen to it right here!
